· The opening of the film connotes that the film could be quite a happy film by the colours used such as: white, red- bright colours and the sound which is light and high pitched. But on the other hand, the red used in the film, could be seen as blood therefore contradicts with the previous idea of a light-hearted. · The characters shown in the opening create different feelings for the audience by their facial expressions and their speech.
· The scene when he is in the bathroom talking the audience through his daily regime creates an enigma for the audience because it causes them to question his state of mind because he seems to reflect the movements of a robot, therefore showing the audience that he may not have a very stable mind.
· The male character is wearing white underwear which connotes a sense of purity in the character. Also, the majority of his house is white, which creates a contrast to the opening which had the colour red, which connotes blood.
